The Made in Hawaii Festival is fast approaching — this year August 19 – 21! This three day festival is the busiest we attend all year. Here are some of our survival tips for making sure you make the most it and to have the best time!
Our busy Hawaii Doggie Bakery Booth at the Made in Hawaii Festival 2015
🌺 Carpool, Uber or get dropped off if you can! The parking lot fills up FAST and stays that way pretty much the entire weekend.
🌺 Stay hydrated! With all the people, walking and things to see, it’s easy to forget how much energy you’re expending. Make sure you’re drinking water so you feel good enough to visit all the booths!
🌺 Wear comfortable shoes and clothes! There is a lot of walking and a lot of people. You won’t want to have to stop for an unnecessary wardrobe malfunction if you can avoid it!
🌺 Look for $1.00-off coupons at First Hawaiian Bank’s Oahu branches starting in mid-August (while supplies last)
🌺 Have a plan! If there is a Booth that you simply MUST visit (like us!) Make sure to pick up a map when you arrive and find out where they’re stationed. Because there are so many people, it’s not the easiest thing to walk around multiple times trying to find your favorite exhibitors.
🌺 Bring cash – but use card when you can! There are a lot of vendors who are cash only at the Made in Hawaii Festival, but there also a lot who take credit cards as well! Use your card when it’s available as an option and save your cash for that booth who only takes cash.
🌺 Before you head out, check out Made in Hawaii’s Official Website. They’re keeping it updated with important information, Entertainment Line up…we’ve even spotted a super cool Chef Booklet from last year with recipes from notable local Chefs!
🌺 Last but not least of course make sure to visit our booth in the Arena! If you use Facebook, make sure to click “Going” in the Facebook Event we’ve created so you can stay up to date with all the latest about our booth. We are closing our shop August 19 – 23 and bringing all of our popular treats down to showcase at the Made in Hawaii Festival. See you there!
