We are so excited to announce a special lei-themed event to get your dog ready for May Day on Saturday, April 25 from 11am-2pm! Activities include lei making demonstrations, custom fitting matching human-dog lei sets and free doggie muffins.
Hawai`i Doggie Bakery has partnered with Mana’o I’o to create a very special event for dogs and their human families! “We believe our furry family members are an integral part of any holiday and for May Day, we are bringing in our doggie lei maker to make sure every dog is ready for May 1,” Niki Libarios, co-owner of Hawai`i Doggie Bakery.

Our lei maker Eileen from Mana’o I’o has been making leis since 2004. Eileen uses a straw, yarn and Kukui nuts and makes a series of loops to make a yarn lei inspired by Hawaii’s beautiful flower leis.
“The finished texture of yarn leis is nice, doesn’t poke or create discomfort for the dog,” says Eileen. “It’s important to get a good fit so your dog cannot reach around and eat the lei!”
Hawai`i Doggie Bakery will also be giving away free doggie muffins (banana, okinawan sweet potato or apple-n-poi flavored) with any purchase of a lei from April 25-May 1.
